Bud becomes a hurricane

Tropical Storm Bud is now a hurricane, the National Hurricane Center in Miami says.

Bud has maximum sustained winds of 75 miles and hour.

Located off the Mexican Pacific coast, it is moving north at 6 miles per hour.

It is not, at this time, threatening land, according to the National Hurricane Center.
