Catholics file suit against federal government over religious freedom

Catholic institutions across the country have filed a lawsuit in Federal District Court in Washington, DC alleging that their First Amendment right to religious freedom is under attack.

Cardinal Donald Wuerl, Archbishop of Washington, says the suit is a response to a government attempt to redefine what is a religious institution. He says that under the new definition, the work of Mother Teresa no longer would qualify as “religious enough.”

I think the Catholics are right and they are in the forefront for all religions.

When did any of the Abrahamic religions give a damn about women or our health? When I was a child I remember women in Catholic South America were drowning themselves because they were denied birth control and had already had large and starving families. This brings me to Mother Theresa. She worked in a very poor and overcrowded India. She was against women’s issues too. She probably did more harm than good. THERE! I SAID IT!
