A 32-mile long traffic jam and the Olympics haven’t even begun

The athletics are in town, preparing for the Olympics in London and their arrival has created a traffic jam that has stretched for more than 30 miles. Londoners just can’t wait for the fans to arrive. Accounting for the mixed blessing the Olympics bring to its venues.

It’s not just the highways that are jammed. Heathrow Airport has seen an influx, and is preparing for record volumes of passenger traffic once the games begin.

Resourceful people are planning to turn to the water to avoid traffic on the highways. Record boat traffic is also expected on the River Thames when the competition starts in two weeks.
