Romney slams jobs report

TALK RADIO NEWS SERVICE

WASHINGTON - Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney Friday described new unemployment numbers reflecting sluggish job growth in June as “another kick in the gut to middle class families.”

The new data, released by the Bureau of Labor and Statistics, showed that the unemployment rate is hovered at 8.2 percent las month and that the economy added a mere 80,000 jobs.

“The president’s policies have clearly not been successful,” Romney said during in an appearance in a New Hampshire hardware store, adding that regulatory burdens approved by the administration, high corporate tax rates, a weak trade policy and a permissive attitude toward China have each played a significant role.

Romney emphasized that the data reflects an ongoing trend.

“In the case of President Obama, this is not a monthly statistic or even a half-yearly statistic,” Romney said. “We’ve looked at now almost four years of policies that have not gotten America working again.”

Claiming that President Obama did not have a jobs plan, Romney reiterated that he had a 59 point economic plan that would grow the economy by 4 percent and ultimately reduce the unemployment rate to 6 percent within his first four years in office.

So what is Romney’s 59 point plan? Keeping it under wraps Mr. Romney? Does it include outsourcing more jobs?

I just watched a movie “Claudine”, towards the end of the show her oldest son joins a group carrying signs that say “Jobs not Welfare.”

Where are we going if so many in our country our reliant on government aid? There is no government aid without the government in your home.
