Bullying victim ‘problem student’
TRNS – Indianapolis Public Schools ended its expulsion of a bullied gay student by assigning him to a special school for “students who cannot adjust to a traditional school setting.”
The student, Dynasty Young, was expelled because school officials were unable to protect him from anti-gay bullying.
The action was called “shameful” by the National Center for Lesbian Rights where staff attorney Christopher Stoll said “the problem is not with Dynasty— it is with a school district whose response to repeated reports of severe bullying has been to blame the victim.”
