Officials in cities such as Boston, Chicago and Washington DC are trying to block the establishment of an any Chick-fil-A restaurants because the companies president has come out publicly in opposition to gay marriage. But on Wednesday the protest against the chain backfired.

Let’s not get crazy about this. This was a stunt involving Mike Huckabee and his followers. All of these people believe in the cruel message of the owner of this restaurant. They will show up to lend support any time hatred is celebrated.

I understood the owner or CEO of the chain, a Baptist, speaking within a Christian-Baptist setting made a statement that he did not believe in same-sex marriage.

One result of the Baptist-Christian statement: mayors of three cities, San Francisco, Boston and Chicago saying they did not want a Chick-Fil-A in their cities.

Since the food chain does not stop gay people from working or eating or owning, I think the only rights restricted was that of the owner,

He does have a right to his belief and to speak freely and I wonder about the 3 mayors saying they would not allow chick-fil-a franchise in their cities.
