Holder: Sikh attack act of terrorism

During remarks Friday at the memorial service for those killed in last Sunday’s shooting at a Sikh temple in Oak Creek Wisconsin, Attorney General Eric Holder described the attack as “an act of terrorism” and a hate crime.
“That is precisely what happened here,” Holder said. “An act of hatred; a crime that is anathema to the founding principles of our nation and to who we are as a people.”
The shooting, which took the lives of six temple attendees, is being investigated by the FBI as an incident of domestic terrorism.
The suspect, Wade Michael Page, subscribed to extreme white supremacist ideology.
