How low can Congress go (in its approval rating)?

WASHINGTON - A new Gallup poll shows that approval of Congress has dropped to 10 percent, tying the previous all-time low recorded in February.

The poll found that Congressional approval is similarly low among each political party, with Democrats receiving 9 percent and Republicans receiving 10 percent.

Both parties saw significant drops in approval since last month. Republicans previously held 14 percent approval while Democrats held 18 percent.

The poll was conducted between August 9th and 12th among 1,012 respondents.
