Obama clings to his slight lead

The choice of a vice presidential running mate usually means a bump in the polls – one that’s not always sustained. In the case of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan – not only was there no bump, but there was no traction for Romney either.

That, at least, is what a new NBC/Wall Street Journal poll suggests. Taken after the Ryan announcement, it shows that President Obama still clings to a 4 percent lead over Mitt Romney.
