Syrian fighting intensifies

Bloody battles are being reported in Aleppo, Syria’s largest city. The rebels, meanwhile, are intensifying their attacks on Damascus. There are reports, as well, that President Assad is running out of money to prosecute the war.

Meanwhile, a report from the BBC that Turkey is busy training rebel fighters. But helping the government: Russia, which has entered into an agreement to provide the Assad regime with much-needed oil.

Meanwhile, in Damascus, a report that 48 Iranians have been kidnapped.
