BILL CLINTON FINAL DNC SPEAKER TONIGHT, EXPECTED TO FOCUS ON ECONOMY

TALK RADIO NEWS SERVICE

CHARLOTTE - Former President Bill Clinton will address the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte tonight as the final speaker of the party gathering’s second night.

Clinton, who gave a full-throated endorsement of Obama in 2008, is expected by the Obama campaign to voice support for Obama’s economic policies.

“Who better to deliver a message to the American people about the choice middle-class families in this country are facing, the difference between what the vision President Obama is presenting to the American people and the vision Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan are presenting?” Obama for America press secretary Jen Psaki said.

According to John Podesta, a former White House chief of staff who still maintains contact with Clinton, the former president is writing his speech himself.

Massachusetts senatorial candidate Elizabeth Warren is also scheduled to deliver a speech before the convention Wednesday evening.

The convention runs until Thursday night, when Vice President Biden and President Obama accept the party’s nomination.
