COPS DISCOVER DOG BURIED ALIVE

They were destroying evidence – a judge had ordered them to do it – when they heard whimpering sounds from under ground.

Officers from the Williston, Florida police department immediately stopped their work and tracked it down. They began digging and discovered, to their horror, six inches under the ground, a puppy buried alive.

The pup is about two-weeks-old. So young that its eyes had not yet opened.

Cops rushed the dog to a nearby animal clinic where it is being cared for until it can be placed with another home, giving him, Police Chief Dennis Strow says, “another chance at life.”

Strow says it’s believed the cops stumbled across the dog just a short time after he was buried. They’re now trying to figure out who could be so cruel as to bury a newborn dog alive.
