ROMNEY TO MAKE MAJOR ECONOMIC ADDRESS
TALK RADIO NEWS SERVICE
WASHINGTON - Mitt Romney will deliver what his campaign says will be a major policy speech on the economy Friday in Iowa.
The speech can be seen as Romney’s rebuttal to a speech President Obama gave in Florida on Tuesday in which he outlined his second-term economic agenda. Obama’s plan involves raising taxes on top earners, using the revenue to both pay down the deficit and fund domestic spending projects aimed at jolting the labor market. Romney will discuss the need to significantly reduce the country’s debt load, reform its growing entitlement programs and ease regulatory policies on small businesses.
