Woolwich murder suspect Michale Adebowale was detained by police two months ago, Sky News has been told.

Local shopkeepers say he was part of a group of Muslim activists who had been reported to police several times.

AT LEAST 16 CHILDREN KILLED IN PAKISTAN SCHOOL BUS FIRE

At least 16 children have been killed when their school bus caught fire in eastern Pakistan, police say.

ZOO WORKER ATTACKED BY TIGER DIES

A woman zoo worker who was attacked by a tiger has died of her injuries.

Sarah McClay, 24, was attacked by a Sumatran tiger in an enclosure at South Lakes Wild Animal Park, near Dalton-in-Furness, Cumbria, on Friday. Read more here.

RIOTING CONTINUES IN SWEDEN

Dozens of youths set cars and a recycling station ablaze in the Swedish capital on Friday night. Some other areas also had problems.

An empty building was set alight in Sodertalje, a town just out of Stockholm. In Orebro, police said 25 masked youths set fire to cars and a school and tried to do the same at a police station. Read more here.

1,000 ARMED COPS MOBILIZED IN THE UK FOLLOWING TERRORIST ATTACK

At least 1,000 armed police officers have been deployed across Great Britain as a precaution against further violence following a brutal stabbing of a soldier earlier this week and an incident today involving a Pakistani aircraft that required air force escort.

On Wednesday, soldier Lee Rigby was hacked to death in broad daylight in the streets of London. Following the attack, the two men suspected in the attack lingered around the crime scene, hands bloodied, engaging with and speaking to passersby before armed police arrived. Read more here.

FED JUDGE: SHERIFF JOE VIOLATED LATINOS’ RIGHTS

Joe Arpaio, the sheriff of Maricopa County, Arizona, violated the constitutional rights of Latinos who were stopped and detained as part of a crackdown on illegal immigrants, a federal judge said.

Sorry fellas — it looks like you can’t come between a woman and her phone. A new survey has found that 57 percent of women polled in the U.S. would rather give up sex than their mobile device for a week.

AVG Technologies surveyed 4,000 women across the UK, U.S., Canada, France, Germany and Brazil to see how technology affects romantic relationships, and some of the results were quite surprising. In addition to American women refusing to part with their smartphones, the findings said more than a quarter of women worldwide would break off a relationship via text message. Read more here.

OBAMA CONDEMNS MILITARY SEXUAL ASSAULTS

President Obama addressed the recent upsurge of military sexual assault cases and the “rippling” affects during his commencement speech to graduating midshipmen of the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland Friday.

“Those who commit sexual assault are not only committing a crime, they threaten the trust and discipline that makes our military strong,” Obama said. “That is why we have to be determined to stop these crimes because they have no place in the greatest military on Earth.” Read more here.
